Radio Free Valhalla

This year I'll be returning to Burning Man and camping with Radio Free Valhalla. We're going to be at 4:30 and bipolar so if your out there and want to meet up stop by and ask for Gregg or Pope (as I'm known on the playa). I've been talking about hosting an early morning Mysore session in our Dome but haven't had much feedback from others on this. I don't know if many Ashtangis find themselves at Burning Man.

Radio Free Valhalla is the playa manifestation of the Viking Youth Power Hour, a weekly podcast eminating from Chicago. We'll be podcasting daily from our 30' Dome. You can subscribe through iTunes by searching for Viking Youth or simply by using the links below.

We're having a fundraiser in Chicago this weekend. If your in the area and want to learn about Burning Man, podcasting, or just meet some awesome folk condiser droping by. Here's the haps:

The Viking Youth Power Hour are doing a live recording and party this Saturday August 6th to help raise funds for Radio Free Valhalla, their theme camp at Burning Man 2005. At 9:00pm the Viking Youth Power Hour will knock glasses and begin their discussion on Burning Man - it's 20 year history, what does Burning Man imply for the future, what to expect or at least prepare for if going to Burning Man, personal Burning Man experiences from years past,and much more. We will have a microphone open to the audience for regailing past experiences or asking questions if this is your first year. This is a perfect opportunity for newbies to have questions answered and to meet many people from Chicago who will be building theme camps on the playa this year.

The Viking Youth will wrap up their show around 11:00pm at which point dancing, video projections, and spontaneous performance will ensue well into the evening. Drinks will be available and the beats will be knee deep and dirty.

If you show up by or before 10:00pm you will get into the event for free. After 10:00pm a $5 donation is requested which will go to help fund Radio Free Valhalla, the Viking Youth camp where we will be recording podcasts daily and offering workshops on how to create your own podcast. If you're on the playa come by and see us at 4:30 and Bipolar, knock a few back and speak your mind on the podospheres best looking show.

9:00pm - 11:00pm - Come hear and tell stories about Burning Man past present and future on the Viking Youth Power Hour. Get your questions answered and your pallettes wetted for another brilliant year playa-side. Come before 10:00pm to receive free entry.

11:00pm - ?? - Shake your ass into the early morning hours to beats served up by the illmeasures DJs. Wear a costume, bring gifts, bring your talents and make this evening the perfect preliminary blow out before Burning Man 2005.
