Brilliant practice!

Another great practice today! I will say that I am glad tomorrow is a rest day as I need it. Though I have maintained a level of detachment and have been good with negating my ambition, I have been working hard this week. I don't believe it to be ambition that is fueling me as much as it is a sense of excitement. Every day this week I've been really longing for my mat, and I mean ALL the time. After I've finished practice in the morning I feel as though I can't wait for tomorrow so I can get back at it. It's more love of the practice rather than anything else.
I have to run as it's time to leave work.

This weekend is one of J9's car shows so I'll be doing that on Saturday and then Sunday is the last of my clinical events for school. I'll be at a wellness fair giving massages all day.

Busy busy.

Detachment? You are kidding me....

Well, maybe detachment is not the best term. Simply put, I've lost the drive to get to the next asana or to perfect this or that in my practice. I've been attempting to let the work flow through me rather than exert force over it. That is the detachment I write of.

props to you champ....but you are never suppose to exert yourself while doing yoga anyway...

I'm not sure about the "never supposed to" (absolutes cause me to pause) but your statement about exertion mirrors mine. I've been attempting to let the work flow through me rather than exerting force to "do" the work.

Actually, now that I reflect on it, I find that yoga requires a great deal of exertion, or exercise of the will. (Yes, I like that better.) I exercise my will to come to the mat every day and to give myself to the practice fully. I would think that after decades of practice this exertion would cease, but I have a ways to go to discover the reality behind that thought.

Hey you have nice blog! How would your life change if your yearly income became your monthly income? LQQK what my mom found a few weeks ago and now she is so happy she stopped nagging on me. This home based business opportunity is so amazing!
