I Swear... I Kept it on the DL, or is the the LD?

I hit the lunch time corporate yoga scene as I always do on Wednesdays and Fridays. One would think that this is a bit much after a daily 5:30 AM Mysore, and most of the time they would be right. It's just that I enjoy going to class with Jeannine and the corporate yoga teacher, Liz, is the one who turned me onto Ashtanga and I really enjoy her style, energy, etc. So Wednesday I go to her short form class and Fridays I do her very odd (but good) "I don't know where she is pulling this stuff from" vinyasa (read: boot camp) class. Both days I typically just do a few Suyras, then lounge about in Padmasana or Savasana, and then join the class again for the finishing. I kind of march to my own beat and Liz doesn't seem to mind. She also gives great adjustments when she can. (Our big focus is trying to get my shoulders open enough to bind in Baddha Padmasana.)

Hell, It's corporate yoga, it's free, it's a chance to get away from my desk and be on my mat, what more do I need to say?

Well, confession time: Today Liz DID tempt me into a new asana, Krounchasana. I've got to say it felt great to get both "sit" bones down to the earth! I don't know why, but it was smoother than Trianga Mukhaikapada Paschimottanasana. She also had us do a twist with it where we grabbed the extended foot with our opposite hand and reached around to bind the foot of the bent leg. Don't get me wrong, I'm feeling it now, (ouch!) but at the time it was really smooth and flowing.

After that I went right into finishing. I swear! :)

I've told myself time and time again that I will stay away from Second Series asana, but when there dangling right there in front of my face like that I just have a hard time resisting!

I have to say that I'm glad tomorrow is Saturday. I could use a day of rest and I have a ton of work to do around the house. We're having a celebration for Jeannine's b-day on Sunday and we want the house to look good.

Thanks to those who left comments on my last post. I’ve got to figure out how to reply to comments here. In the past I’ve always used Live Journal which does everything for you. Forgive the learning curve, please.
