September 16th: Experience Wellness

I've been working on this project with the Karmanos Cancer Institute in Detroit for the past 4 months and I'm very excited about it. I'll be presenting information on and giving demonstrations of Reiki for this event. Please consider attending and supporting Karmanos and all the wonderful work they do. ~Gregg

As cancer patients and the general public have become increasingly interested in exploring how complementary therapies can enhance one's health and well-being, I would like to invite each of you to Experience Wellness on Saturday September 16, 2006, 11:30-3:00pm, at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial. The event includes a beautiful lakeside lunch, dynamic speakers, opportunities to personally experience various complementary therapies, health and wellness product vendors and a silent auction. Proceeds from the event will support complementary therapy programs at the Karmanos Cancer Center. Presentations include:

· "Green Tea and Cancer Prevention" - Ping Dou, Ph.D., Karmanos Cancer Institute's Prevention Program

· "Effects of Citrus Pectin and Holy Basil on Cancer Cells" - Pratima Nangia-Makker, Ph.D., Research Associate, Karmanos Cancer Institute

· "Peter's Principles: Healthy Living, Wellness and Overcoming Health Challenges" - Peter Nielsen, Channel 4 News
