Timeless Spirit, Lips Book, and A Cartoon Gregg
"Timeless Spirit is the ultimate context or reference point that the flesh-and-bone human refers to for meaning. Contact with the spiritual ground provides the true basis for meaning in our lives. We experience an altered, or in this case "altared," state of consciousness, a contact with infinite love, infinite bliss, and infinite awareness. The meaning of the physical world is realized to be a beautiful dream symbol requiring our lucid participation, a shadow play cast by the transcendental sun." ~Alex Grey, The Mission of Art
I'm still savoring The Mission of Art. Grey's presentation of the chakras includes examples of art connected to each chakra. It's just another system, I know, but for where I'm at it assists me to see connections between divergent aspects of reality that I would have otherwise missed. It takes a hell of a lot less time than Kabalah too!
Also on the nightstand you'll find Graham Hancock's Supernatural. Based on the first few pages this looks like a damn good read. A friend of mine went to see him speak about the book last year and has great things to say about his work. I'm also going to pick up a copy of Staring at Sound, The True Story Of Oklahoma's Fabulous Flaming Lips. They actually have it sitting in the back room of the bookstore downstairs but they won't put it on the shelves until the morning. No matter how hard I tried to woo it out if the guy at the counter he wouldn't budge. You'll be hearing a great deal more about this book in the coming weeks. (hint hint)
Finally, I have this little cartoon that a sweet little friend put together. It actually looks pretty close to the real thing. The background's pretty damn funny as well. Thanks sweetie.

Happy Full Moon All!
The likeness is uncanny, your friend did a great job~
They definitely captured that glean in your eye where everything can go from 0-the infinite improbability drive.
Thanks for sharing~
