Ashtanga 3

Made it to the studio by 5:30 this morning and got a head start on the series. I made it through sequence one without a hiccup but just went screwy with sequence two. I somehow ended up doing Ardha Baddaha Padma Paschimottanasana before Paschimottanasana! So due to this I skipped Purvottanasana. With the assistance of Matthew, I did make it through Marichyasana D before going into the finishing postures.

After three days at the loft I must say that I am VERY impressed with Matthew. His adjustments are very minimal and deal more with teaching the proper positioning and breath to fully sit into an asana rather than just pulling and binding. He also gave me a tip on my jump throughs that seems to be working. I need to practice with it of course, but I can see that the next month of study with expand my practice greatly.

I need to memorize the opening invocation today as I'm sick of mumbling through it in the morning. Tomorrow is the led primary class so I'll see how Matthew pulls the whole series goes together.
