Ashtanga 2

Day two at the Royal Yoga Loft. I signed up for the monthly Mysore pass so I'll be there everyday (save Saturdays and Moon days) at 5:30 AM to fine tune my asana before New York. Yesterday my practice was really off. I was forgetting the sequence at every turn. Today I was a bit better though I accidentally skipped Utthitatrikonasana, Utkatasana, and Purvotanasana. I did not get there until about 5:45 so I was running a bit behind and stopped after Trianga Mukhaikapada Paschimottanasana. I need to get there at 5:30 so that I can begin to work on Marichiyasana and see how far beyond it I can go. My finishing asana seem to be fine though I need to work on the vinyasa aspect of it and get that backward summersault between Uttana Padasana and Sirsasana A going.

Friday, Matthew teaches a Led Primary instead of Mysore. I am quite interested in how he does this as he completes the entire primary in an hour and a half. I have a feeling it's going to be REALLY fast paced, which is good! I'll have Saturday and Sunday to recover as Sunday is the full moon. After seeing Friday's class I'll have a better idea of the standard practice at the studio so I don't stick out like a sore thumb when doing my vinyasa. After all the only true Ashtanga class I've taken is the one in A2 with Manju last month.
