FAMILY DAY: Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 12PM to 4PM Paper Gardens and Raw Food?!? Admission: Free A family day dedicated to creating a garden inside the brick walls of MOCAD. Children can use raw food, such as potatoes and mushrooms, to create prints. They can learn how to make mosaics using rice & beans. Knowledgeable volunteers will show how to make origami animals and flowers. There will also be live demonstrations by the good people at the Detroit Evolution for kids and their parents on methods of preparation and the health benefits of raw foods.
