Body Awareness and the Vegan Diet
Friday, January 9th, 7 - 9 pm
- $30
In this class we will explore the connection of di
et and health, and what we can do to achieve balance through Body Awareness. The SAD diet with all of it's processed foods, hormones, pesticides and chemical additives has made us desensitized to how food actually affects us. The fast-paced nature of our culture, consumerism and media overload does not help the situation, rather distracts us further from our internal environment. Angela and Gregg will discuss how adopting a vegan diet, as well as other sustainable lifestyle changes, can assist one in reconnecting to the body's own natural intuition. This connection can lead to a rejuvenation of mind, body and spirit as well as developing a deeper appreciation of the world around us. And we can't forget about the food! Angela will guide the class through the preparation of a small menu designed to satisfy your body and stimulate your mind.

Raw Express - The Importance of Greens
Wednesday, January 14th, 7 - 9 pm
- $30
If you're anything like most folks, you aren't getting enough fresh raw greens in your diet! And we're not talking about iceberg lettuce here, we mean dark leafy greens like kale, collards, spinach and swiss chard. Ang
ela will discuss the importance of greens and show you how to incorporate more into your diet in delicious and easy ways.

Winter Restoration
Saturday, January 17th, 4 - 7 pm
- $45
Winter is the hardest season in which to cleanse, especially in a colder climate like Michigan where more fuel is needed to keep the body warm. It is possible though, and cleansing in the proper way can be extremely beneficial in keeping the body healthy through the winter months. In this class Angela
will share information and recipes designed to support the body nutritionally so it can cleanse in a gentle, safe way.

The Basics of a Healthy and Humane Vegan Diet

Saturday, January 24th, 4 - 7 pm
- $45
It's never too late to begin to adopt a healthy and humane diet. Through our journey, we have found that a vegan diet has connected us not only to our inner world more deeply, but to our family, friends, community and land as well. In this class we will explore the concepts of veganism, body awareness, the transition movement and of course taste Angela's wonderful food! She will take the class step-by-step through the preparation of a menu that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and satisfied. Healthy and humane food can be fun, delicious and easy! Take the first step today by signing up for this fun, inspirational and informative class.

Raw Express - Sprouting and Fermentation
Wednesday, January 28th, 7 - 9 pm
- $30
Sprouted and fermented foods are extremely beneficial for one's diet. Sprouts are tiny nutritional powerhouses and fermented foods help keep beneficial bacteria levels high in the gut, both aiding in keeping our bodies working optimally. Take the fear out of preparing these simple foods by learning the basics of sprouting and fermenting at the Lab! Your body will thank you :)

We offer our students a unique experience and an opportunity not only learn, but also to connect with others and realize the importance of food in our lives and the world. The food you choose to eat can change the world! Space in these intimate classes is limited and full payment is required to register. Please call 313.316.1411 or email to arrange payment.
