Satsang Thanks

Last night's Satsang at House of Yoga was phenomenal. There were about 10 yogis in attendance and Abby and Dave did a great job leading us through experiences and discussion of Nada Yoga. We chanted, did a few meditation experiments, and discussed sound, chanting and language in depth. My big breakthrough of the evening? Making peace with Abby's use of John Cougar Mellencamp in her vinyasa classes! :) Seriously though, I found the info on Nada Yoga inspiring so when I returned home I curled up with the laptop and did a bit of reading. I found this piece collected and edited by Swami Janakananda to be quite concise.

If you haven't visited House of Yoga yet I recommend you do so soon. Abby and Dave have created an environment that causes me to release a huge sigh when I walk in the door. You know how some spaces just make you breathe a little more freely? They've done a great job with it. They share Satsang on the first Friday of every month and based upon the past two months I feel it's not to be missed.

Also, I must thank S and G for coming all the way out from Northville! It was wonderful to sit down and share in the Satsang with you both. You both inspire me immensely.

Greg,
thanks for the kind words on our satsang. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I'm sure Abby will be happy that you had a breakthrough with JCM.

I appreciate your words on how the environment feels.....Abby and I both wanted to create a place where people feel welcome and comfortable.

Next month's topic for satsang...Karma!!

Peace,
Dave

Dear sweet Gregg,
You are a breath of fresh air to us and your presence is always enjoyed.

We feel extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share yoga with our friends in such a wonderful, magical space.

a little JCM for you
Would you teach your children to tell the truth
Would you take the high road if you could choose
Do you believe you're a victim of a great compromise
'Cause I believe you could change your mind and change our lives

Your life is Now, thanks for sharing it with us.

in love + peace always
