A Big Old Box Of Worms

...has been opened! Friday's workshop was recorded on D's 8mm camera and I went and bought an analog to digital converter for my Mac. I figured it out while at Mom and Dad's house in Pt. Huron yesterday and digitized the majority of the workshop.

This morning I went through a few things and came up with about 30 8mm tapes that were recorded between the years of 89 and 93. These tapes include documentation of my ritual work, bands I played in, noise I made, messages to girls that I never sent, and just plain assorted weirdness. Though I don't specifically recall this, it appears that I used to really enjoy getting naked. I still do I suppose, just don't have as many occasions as I used to.

I'm currently digitizing a tape of ML and I making a shitload of noise with a bunch of drums, iron coils, vibrators and guitar pickups. I really can't believe how young I look and how horrible this noise sounds!

Look for a great many of these clips to make their way here. D and I spoke of making a Soliel Noir, Batterie Acid, Thee Kabal DVD to mess with everyone's head.

Memories!

Ah yes those mental photos of the rich fabric of time.... WOW! Soliel Noir, Batterie Acid, And Thee Kabal Oh my !!!! I remember being at the Thee Kabal show at the old Shelter, way back when.... I recall the smoke, incense, sweaty body paint and the cacophony of noise from the banging of rusty oil drums… it seems like moments ago! At a certain time, one of my friends that I came with to the show turned to me and asked,”Isn’t that your voice screaming that they have sampled on a loop?” Yup, I felt pretty spiffy being a rookie performance artist, getting some much-appreciated recognition from the elite of Detroit art scene.
I would very much like to view this compilation when it is ready; in fact I have my credit card ready to order today!

Shine On!
