NYC Yoga? Naw, Brian Jones Died For Your Sins!

"You were so very pure, you were so very special" ~Godstar by Psychic TV

Yeah I know, a busy and exciting day of yoga and suddenly I'm back in the '80s??? I have a great deal to write about practice this morning and GURU, the film we took in this afternoon. But it's been a busy day and I'm about to grab dinner before running off to take in a movie. The theater around the corner from the Krishna joint is playing a film called Stoned. If you haven't figured it out yet it's about the life and death of Brian Jones, the Stone who left the band in 1969 and died in a swimming pool shortly thereafter.

Psychic TV, who spawned the occult group TOPY, were working on a film about Jones for a while and were fond of propagating the mystery that surrounded his death. Back in the day we had stickers that read, "Brian Jones Died For Your Sins."

So, that's where I'm at. I'm taking it as it comes and Stoned came at me so I'm there. I'll post about practice, which was just wonderful, after the flick.

I did practice right in front of Guruji and did get an adjustment, which was quite rare this morning with the way the room was set up. Practicing next to Matthew was another highlight!

Ha, more of a finger slip really. One of my best freinds is named Brian and I'm always typing Brain, like he's smart or something! :)

Hmmm, Breakfast was great! I'm sure a different person when I get 'round ashtangis. I just come right out of my shell. Breakfast was some of the best food I've had since India! Spiros' Chai rocks as well! I had 2 cups and was flying my the time I made to to breakfast.

Oh, and Mr. Brother Infinity, I can get off as easy as I like... probably a little too easy at this point in the game.

I'm actually going to sleep and will catch up on this writing stuff in the morning. 2 hours sleep in 36 hours with a practice like I had this morning will take it right out of you.

LOL! I still have a "touch yourself" sticker you gave me almost 15 years ago that you printed off right before the whole fantastic freak brigade all went to see P-TV in Chicago... then they later visited us here in Detroit, and you gave them copies of your DADA workings. What lovely memories... those were some fun times... glory to know, there are many more yet to come!
LOVE~
